The major artifact for a new exhibition at Crosstown Arts is Isaac Hayes’ 14-foot-long, custom-made, purple velvet office desk full with white Formica high. Previously, the desk had been in storage for more than a year, after the Stax Museum of American Soul Music recovered it from the proprietor of East Nashville vintage boutique, The Hip Zipper. The end of September is approaching rapidly, however there are still a number of opportunities to catch an Opera Memphis 30 Days of Opera performance. Danielle Amodeo (she/hers, Chair) oversees Communications and Public Programming at the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in European Studies from Amherst College and her Master’s Degree in Art History at Williams College. Danielle has labored in communications, education, programming, and outreach at Clark Institute of Art, Creative Time, Dentsu Aegis Network, Frick Collection, Teen Vogue, and New York City Council. She serves on the boards of the Amherst Center Cultural District, the Arts at Amherst Initiative, and the Northampton Arts Council.
