Running a martial arts school must be quite a lot of fun, and it’s in many ways. Bergen Performing Arts Center recognizes that the humanities can play an important role in serving to younger folks develop a larger appreciation for educating and learning, be a catalyst for motivating students to be successful of their academic topic areas and their final life pursuits, help them uncover their own personal voice and avenues for artistic expression, and help them in figuring out ways to make a positive contribution to society.

Former Secretary of Schooling, William Bennet wrote, “The arts are important parts of training similar to reading, writing, and arithmetic Music, dance, portray, and theater are keys to unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment” (Swann-Hudkins, 2002).

Former Governor of California, Grey Davis, famous, “Art schooling helps college students develop creativity, self-expression, analytical expertise, self-discipline, cross-cultural understandings, and a heightened appreciation for the arts” and that “students who develop artistic expression and artistic downside solving abilities are more like to succeed in faculty and will be higher prepared for the roles and careers of the longer term” (California Art Research, 2003, p. 1).

As a HOLE participant you may be granted special entry to services, studio courses, lectures and presentations.
